The Romanian Down Syndrome Federation is a national umbrella organization that brings together 21 member associations from across Romania.
Its mission is to create a strong, unified voice advocating for the needs, abilities, rights, social inclusion, and holistic development of people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities.
Down Plus Bucharest Association is proud to be one of the Federation's Founding Members, while Georgeta Bucur serves as President of the Board of Directors.

Mission
To improve the quality of life of people with Down syndrome.
Purpose
To unite organizations across Romania that are dedicated to supporting people with Down syndrome and promoting their rights, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Objectives
To develop and implement activities, programs, and projects that benefit people with Down syndrome.
To facilitate the exchange of knowledge, information, and best practices among member organizations.
To support active and affiliated member associations and foundations in the implementation of their own programs and initiatives.
To advocate, participate, and take action in key areas such as health, education, personal development, self-determination, and social inclusion.
To protect and promote the human rights of people with Down syndrome through a unified national voice representing the organizations within the Federation.
To facilitate the exchange of knowledge, information, and best practices among member organizations.
